Rithy or (T)

Senior Guide, Kampot

Hello everyone! My name is Rithy or (T). I come from Pursat province which is in the northwest of Cambodia. My family is very poor and cannot give me enough financial support to support my study, so I decided to become a monk for 3 years to learn English. After I left Pagoda I came to Butterfly Tours to start my guiding job. My English wasn’t good at all, but I keep practicing everyday with tourists and now I have become the popular tour guide at Butterfly Tour as you can find on TripAdvisor or Google Review. So I am very thankful to Butterfly Tours that gave me a new life and now I am always welcome to see everyone in Kampot. Thank you.

Why hello there, my name is Huylang Khin. I’m 21 years old and I’m from Siem Reap.
My family isn’t rich, but they have taken me on so many trips since I was in my mommy’s tummy. My big family loves to travel, which causes me to be this natural lover, adventurer seeker… something, I think. I also love to try new things.
I grew up with cartoons and YouTube, which made me love English very much. And since I basically was raised by the internet and English culture, I am very please to be working here and with you guys.
I hope you all have an amazing trip here in this Kingdom of Wonder. And I can’t wait to introduce you to all the cool culture experiences we have arranged here for you on this tour!

Sophea phon

Lead Guide, Siem Reap

Good evening dear wonderful people here, my name is Sophea phon. I’m from SIEM Reap. Nowadays I study in grade 12. I am a trainee tour guide for Butterfly Tour. I am a kind of person who love nature and adventure. I also like doing new thing but only something that is good not the bad one hahaha… I believe that if we fly high (I don’t mean physical flying, just a metaphor because I’m not a bird) we will see more things even the good and the bad but I only do good thing though. I grew up with my older sister who I think as a closest friend. I was raised by my grandmother who is the most wonderful woman that give me warm aside my parents when they are busy with their works. This make me a strong person who love enjoying life. I love cycling and sightseeing in the country to see and learn more about people life in the country or go to the mountain. In my opinion, this platform is fitted me because I can use this opportunity to improve my English skill, guiding some fee to support my Study and have more experiences. You are in Cambodia – the land of thousands stone temples, to visit and experience Cambodian lifestyle. I’m very pleased to have you as our guest and I can’t wait to show you the richness of our culture and diversity of nature in this beautiful country. I hope you enjoy your trip in our country.

Soriya

Front Office and Operation Assistant

Hi everyone! My name is Soriya and I’m from Phnom Penh, the capital city of Cambodia. I moved with my parents to Siem Reap province in 2010, and that’s where I call home now🤗. Recently, I completed a Bachelor’s degree in Tourism and Hospitality Management; it was tough as I had to study and work simultaneously to support myself. A year ago, I started working as a Receptionist at a hotel – this gave me experience of interacting with different nationalities. Unfortunately, the coronavirus pandemic led to the hotel shutting down, which was really hard for me. Nonetheless, I kept telling myself “No pain no gain” and moved on with life. Nowadays, I’m part of the Butterfly team which allows me to be back in my favorite field – tourism! We would be more than happy if you visited us and enjoyed the local experiences we offer. Thank you!
